SMS Opt-In Process
How OnRamp Automation collects voluntary SMS consent from subscribers
This page documents the opt-in flow that OnRamp Automation uses to collect SMS consent from business subscribers. Consent is collected during onboarding and is entirely separate from the service agreement. Subscribing to OnRamp Automation does not require opting in to SMS messages.
Opt-In Flow Overview
- Business owner signs up for OnRamp Automation's AI Voice Agent service and signs the service agreement. No SMS consent is included in this step.
- During onboarding, the owner completes an intake form that includes an optional SMS consent checkbox (shown below). The checkbox is unchecked by default.
- The owner may leave the checkbox unchecked and skip SMS entirely. Their AI Voice Agent service, pricing, and features are not affected in any way.
- If the owner checks the box, they consent to receive operational text messages (booking alerts, lead notifications, urgent call flags) at the mobile number they provide.
- A confirmation SMS is sent: "You are subscribed to OnRamp Automation booking and lead alerts. Msg frequency varies with your call volume. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel."
Onboarding Intake Form — SMS Consent Section
Below is the exact SMS consent section as it appears on the onboarding intake form. The checkbox is unchecked by default and is clearly labeled as optional.
SMS Alerts (Optional)
Receive text message notifications when your AI agent books an appointment, captures a lead, or flags an urgent call.
Key compliance points: The SMS consent checkbox is unchecked by default. It is separate from the service agreement. A subscriber who leaves it unchecked still receives the full AI Voice Agent service at the same price. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing or using any OnRamp Automation service.
Opting Out
Subscribers may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. Opting out does not cancel or affect their OnRamp Automation subscription. They may resume messages by replying START or contacting bryce@onrampautomation.com.
